We are a small, family-run company, working together to produce the best materials for classical education the world has ever seen.

Most educational presses are run by large, international companies, which make large profits by pushing poorly-designed, grossly-overpriced books to large, institutional buyers. Not us. We're a small company; we want to stay that way. When you call our office, you talk to the writers, editors, and designers of our materials. When we write our books, we think of you and your busy schedules. We think of your families and students. We think of our own children, and how eager we are to use our products with them. We are proud of what we do.

We enjoy working in a small office on a farm. It presents us with myriad challenges and adventures. Like the time when the farm's 200-gallon diesel tank fell over and we had to leave our typesetting and editing duties to right it. Or the time when Noodles, one of the beagles, ate several packages waiting for UPS. (We're probably the only educational press in the world where our dogs eat your homework!) Our job descriptions change with the seasons.

Our team, though small, has extensive experience teaching in schools—both public and private, “progressive” and classical. We have used and reviewed pretty much everything on the market for classical education. We are proud to say that our materials are the best books available for teaching history and language arts that we have seen. We're also proud that as we come out with more and more products, they keep getting better and better.

We Know Homeschooling

Many parents rely on The Well-Trained Mind as their homeschooling authority. The book's authors, Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise, direct Peace Hill Press. They travel the country, speaking to homeschooling parents about the methodology, philosophy, and the daily nuts and bolts of homeschooling in the 21st century.
