Snow!
Jenna’s mother writes, “Here is a copy of a story my daughter Jenna (age 6 at the time) wrote about our first snow of the year. She dictated to me so none of the spelling or
punctuation is hers, but I typed the story word for word the way she told it.”
Snow!
Yesterday when I woke up, there was a whole bunch of snow outside my window. I asked, “Can my sisters and I please play in the snow? Please, please, please??” Mom and Dad said yes. So my sisters and I dressed warmly and ran out the door.
It was so beautiful! There was so much snow around that we felt like we were in a fairy tale land. I saw snow on trees and the slide, the fence, and the swingset. Our wagon used to have water in it, but it turned into a big skating rink!
We had so much fun playing outside. We made a snowman and had a snowball fight. Meghan shook a tree on us and all the snow tumbled down. It was fun, but cold! In the yard where the lettuce used to grow, it was so deep it felt like we were getting pulled in by a shark!
The slide was covered with snow. I slid down and froze my hands and my bottom. I had to come inside and run my hands under warm water to thaw them out.
When we came in, we took a hot bath. It felt so good, I wanted to go to sleep.
