Here is a copy of the latest summary that my 8 year old son did this past week (he will be 9 in June).  This kind of a project is a BIG deal for him.  First he narrates to me.  Then we work on grammar and composition orally.  Then I dictate back to him, and he works on spelling and punctuation.  Finally, with this one, I had him copy it over and work on handwriting and proofreading.  The whole project took a week.  His is a late bloomer with reading and writing and still works behind "grade level" in reading and writing.  We are working through second year grammar stage in WTM.
