Earthworms

Earthworms are farmers. They plow the dirt and also bring in dry leaves and dead animals so the plants can eat the food. They are very good worms. Fifty thousand earthworms live in the England park [acre of garden soil]. Earthworms have setae which are tiny bristles that turn the opposite direction than the earthworm turns.
 
 

Earthworm Experiment

We borrowed fishing worms from the neighbors. They kept the worms in the refrigerator. We put them in the jar and left them in the garage all night. We were going to see them mix up the dirt. And then we got up in the morning and went to see the worms. They weren’t moving. We thought they were dead, and they were. A week later, I went to see the worms. They felt crunchy like dry leaves.
