There once was a man named "Patricus Magonus Sucatus" but he was
known as St.Patrick .  He and his family ,which consisted of two
sisters, one brother, and his parents, lived on the coast of Great
Britain.  They were Roman immigrants to Britain that were rich and well
educated.  When he was a young boy, he thought Christ was just a Jewish
king with no kingdom that died four hundred years ago.  He thought, "Who
needed him."   Later in his life he was kidnaped and became a slave in
Ireland, but he escaped.
    Once  Irish pirates raided  his home, which was on one of the
British Isles, and took him.  When Patrick woke up they slyly captured
him in an Irish way.  Patrick, with many others, was taken to Northern
Ireland near Belfast.  Quickly after arriving in Belfast from being
kidnaped he was sold as a slave to a evil druid named Milchu.  That's
how St.Patrick was kidnaped.
    When Patrick arrived at Milchu's house, as a slave,  all he was
given was a flint to start a minuscule fire with, to find cave to live
in, to hunt with what nature had to offer, and to watch the sheep and
pigs on the other side of the mountain.  Slave-life was painful. Muscles
were built and skin was tanned as Patrick, who was desperately working,
had no escape. During this time Patrick was turning his heart to God.
Finally after six years without a single piece of the Bible, he
remembered the verses his parents taught him.  These verses gave him
hope, while he was in slavery.
    With God, escape became effortless.  Once Patrick, who was about to
take a nap, heard God's voice saying, "You will soon return home."  When
Patrick slept that night, he had a dream that there was a boat waiting
200 miles away for him.  Patrick knew the dream was from God.
Immediately he left for the boat.  When he got there, the captain
gruffly said, "If you can't pay, then you can't get a ride."   Patrick
turned around, and prayed, but before he could finish, someone told him
to come quickly.  The captain let him aboard.  Soon, though, they were
shipwrecked off the coast of Britain.  Patrick wandered until he found
his hometown.  When he got there, he was surprised to find his parents
alive, but he sadly thought of the green island of Ireland and its
people, who didn't know Christ.  He escaped, but they were still slaves
to sin.
    Patrick returned, while conquering Ireland for God.  In all that
happened to Patrick, who became a great man, I like that God used his
tragic moments to teach hope to others.  Since Patrick used the shamrock
to illustrate the Trinity, it's believed that's why the shamrock is
associated with St. Patrick.  God is three in one.  After starting 200
churches, and baptizing 100,000 converts, he died March 17th, 461, which
quickly became known as St. Patrick's Day.  Finally, you know how he was
kidnaped, his life in slavery, and how he escaped.
