Modern History

'The Declaration of Independence Song' was created by 4th grader, Steffy Boyd and family when she came home with a memorization homework assignment to learn a portion of the Declaration of Independence. We put the words to music and she learned the words easily! With the encouragement of others, we produced the song and offer the CD on the internet. In Florida last year, over 500 Florida students and teachers used The Declaration of Independence Song during the first annual 'Celebrate Freedom Week' in Florida public schools. Celebrate Freedom Week was proclaimed a special focus week by the Florida legislature and requires students to recite a portion of the Declaration in the classroom. Please visit our website where you can preview our song (www.declarationsong.com) and read comments from parents and teachers.
