Meeting the Queen of England!

Just a quick update on meeting the Queen last week--it went beautifully, and the Queen was all smiles, very gracious. In fact everybody else was dressed in somber blacks and greys, and she showed up gaily dressed in bright colors and a jaunty hat.

Intros were a curious thing; depending on people's levels, they either got to introduce themselves (as my friends did), or only one person was allowed to introduce the group as a whole and that was it. As for lunch, my friend was seated immediately across from the Queen, though the table was enormous and seated about 100, so it's not like she could chat. However, it was prime gawking space.

All in all, they had a marvelous time.
