I always seem to have lots of photos about China's (and my) food, so I thought I'd start a Friday spot on my blog about food and for foodies.

I really enjoyed looking at the photos on your blog. I thought the one of the seagulls taking off was especially interesting. It must be fascinating to live in China, although I guess it is just normal for you.

I was discussing this with DH yesterday. Making the blog has made China fresh and interesting to me again, because I see it through others' eyes. That has been a real service to me - regaining that sense of curiosity, after over twenty years, on and off, spent in Asia.

I wish I had access to my dad's photos from his travels. He has great ones of street venders (all sort of finger foods) from Africa, Thailand, the Philippines, South America, and Mexico. I suffer from wanderlust so bad... no money to go so I must dream and live vicariously through the images that a number of you share from your travels abroad.
