Is the PSAT taken at the beginning of 10th or 11th grade?

Justwondering what is traditional. We have never taken PSAT's before, but I would like ds to do this. Our district used to be relatively hostile (or other homeschoolers around here made them seem that way...you know , two sides to every coin?) to homeschoolers, but I am now feeling up to task to at least TRY to make them give him a seat....so, what grade is PSAT taken in? I will include this in his IHIP...so maybe they have to give it to him??

The PSAT can be taken in 9th, 10th & 11th grade.

It is in 11th grade that most kids typically take it and it is the 11th grade score that is used to determine National Merit Scholars.

Our public school is openly hostile to homeschoolers so I went to the private school for testing.
