View Full Version : Chalkdust Algebra 2 - Cheap!

have the current text, brand new HB that Chalkdust uses for Algebra 2.
I am asking $18ppd.

Then....go to Amazon or half.com and purchase the DVDs for $40. The ISBN is: 9780618306763

These are the exact same DVDs that Chalkdust sells featuring Dana Mosely. We did this and saved ourselves $$$$ money.

The problem was that I ended up with 2 texts by mistake :o

I thought I was buying a Algebra 2 and a Precalculus, but ended up with 2 Algebra 2's. I wanted a very nice (brand new) text, so I bought one in that condition.

You can also get the solutions manual for this edition ( ISBN: 9780618218806). They start at $2 each.

These DVDs are the exact same. When you load them, they will even say Chalkdust at the bottom of the screen. (I was told this on this site....and sure enough, when I loaded them, that's what they said). They are NOT pirated copies. They are produced and sold by Houghton Mifflin.

I hope this helps someone out. Chalkdust is expensive, but thorough, and used is great when these programs are so expensive.

I looked into this after Pongo posted about it. I took the ISBN # for the dvds and emailed some Amazon listers to ask how many disks were in the set. Everyone said there were only 4 - Chalkdust lists 8. So I am not convinced it is the same thing. Or maybe you need to buy two separate sets.

It does have 4 discs, but covers chapters 1-10, which are all the chapters in the book. The minutes are listed on the DVDs and it is nearly the same number of hours as listed on the Chalkdust site (minus 15 minutes or so, I think, I don't remember exactly). The DVDs come to 27 hours of instruction for the ISBN I listed.

I guess they put less info on the DVDs for Chalkdust distribution.
I bought the exact same ISBNs, so I know this all for a fact. They are sitting right in front of me.

The DVDs have listed " Chalkdust" at the bottom when you put Dana Mosely on the TV.

Just wondering, is this same type of thing available for Chalkdust Pre-Calculus?

Is this still available? Is this Intermediate Algebra Graphs and Functions the same thing as Algebra 2? Thank you.
