And skip counting, multiplication facts, etc. Also, what other kinds of supplements do you use to help dc learn math facts? We have been using flash cards, but I'm looking for more ways to reinforce. We use Singapore as our main text w/CWP and IP as needed. We also use Miquon to complement what we are learning in Singapore.

I bought a CD and it was just awful! Somebody Sarah Jorden, I think. You can do much better!

A singing duo from Canada--Judy and David--have put out CD's of songs that meet the Province of Ontario's "Math Standards"--I haven't heard them, but that's a thought. You may be able to find their stuff at Walmart. My dd absolutely LOVES their music and I like it too.

But the best idea I've ever tried for memorizing math facts is copywork. Someone suggested it here on the board.

Yep. Just writing it out over and over. That, plus a bit of flashcard drill and my son seemed to get to know his times tables overnight.

As well, games cannot be beat for adding and subtracting. Box Cars and One eyed Jacks have good suggestions--and the Books by Peggy Kaye are indispensible. (Pyramid 10 is amazing!)

Do you have a math copybook, or do you just have make up your own? How many facts do you have your child copy per day?

Check your library for CD's. I am able to get some from mine.
