My dd just got the results from her PLAN test and they were lower than she wished. Are they really a true indicator of what she would get on the ACT? She did very well on the reading and English (90's) but didn't do so well on science (65%) and math (50%). Math doesn't come easily to her but she has always scored a lot higher than that on other standardized tests.

I'm wondering what I can do with her over the summer to prepare her for the PSAT and the ACT next year as a junior.

You should be able to get that from the school. The ACT web sites even states that you should ask for it. Go through all areas to see what she missed. On the math, were they simple mistakes or true concept area mistakes.

I had my ds take the ACT in June after 10th. His score was at the top of the range indicated on the PLAN. But, we did review the PLAN questions to see what he missed.

Hope this helps.
