Or if you go from SWR to megawords.... Do you find that some of megaword's approach contradicts SWR? I just looked at samples and saw reference to the schwa sound. Also I was wondering if the way it teaches syllable division contradicts SWR at all.

Has this been a problem at all? How have you handled it?

Thanks!

Yes. In a short answer, yes. I went from SWR to MegaWords. Going that direction was not too difficult. We took all the rules and phonograms learned plus the additional insight form MegaWords. Dd is spelling much better now but is not able to go back to SWR. I just today gave her a review test in MegaWords. She did very well. Words she missed at the start of the program, she can easily spell now. She is more confident in her writing and is definately improving. However, that improvement is not being reflected in the SWR tests. She is showing little to no improvement in those tests. List N is still very difficult for her. I dont know what to say to this. I am pleased with the improvement. She is thrilled. SWR is not working any longer. So, going from SWR to Mega was fine - no problem. But, going back into SWR is proving very difficult. Frankly I am not pleased with SWR after list M. The jump in difficulty to just too great.
