Any opinions on this book? My daughter is finishing up Math Relief Algebra II and I'm exploring geometry options.
Thanks,
Veronica

I hope that your post doesn't continue to go unanswered. Like you, we're also researching geometry options for next year. I found Geometry-- A Guided Inquiry on the Math Without Borders website (http://www.mathwithoutborders.com/), but know nothing about it. Looks intriguing, though, doesn't it? Perhaps we'll get a response from someone who's seen the materials first-hand.
Sorry not to be of more help. :o

I haven't seen it, but I did find this review:
Review of a high school geometry course with Geometry: A Guided Inquiry book;
its Home Study Companion; and Geometer's Sketchpad software (http://www.homeschoolmath.net/reviews/geometry_guided_inquiry.php)

I'm also interested in this course. Hasn't anyone used it?

We bought the Math Without Borders package of textbook, Dave Chandler's cd-rom w/solution key, and Geometer's sketchpad.
I was able to preview the book by borrowing it from the library. The authors are 2 math professors and an Education department guy at University of California, Davis.
The review linked in this post is a good one and quite detailed.
I would not recommend this textbook as self-teaching for a high school student. Chandler's ideal homeschool situation is for a parent to work alongside the student. I did this somewhat intermittantly; I would catch up on the weekends w/some representative exercises. The further one gets in any geom. textbk the more different ways there are to prove something. With most students someone must be available for the student to talk over the proofs.
The course does not include tests, a schedule, or solutions (answers only) to self quizzes, self tests, or chapter reviews. Dave's solutions are for the "central problems" and "projects" only.
The book contains many, many "projects". If you would be overwhelmed by chosing which projects or how many projects or how long they should take, you may want to chose a different text. I would love to do this book again, but have only one child.
Chosing a geometry text can be daunting. In case you're interested, my finalists were this text, Jurgensen, Solomonovitch and Birkhoff. I didn't go with Birkhoff because the TM was geared for professionals; it is not "pick up and go", and I worried that I would get too behind my student.
