It is coming on and we have it charging now but is there anything that will help aid in drying it out?

I've heard people just laying it out to dry for a couple of days before charging.

I dont think so.... I silly dh put his "razor" phone on the counter and we think it got knocked into the dishwasher by the cat.... So after it got a good washing we found out.... it turned on by after we let it dry it was no good...... We took it in but they said they couldn't do anything with it... so we were with out a phone..... Sorry this happened, i know it stinks but it may not work again.... (i hope I am wrong!)

This all happened after I told him that he was a nut for spending $350 on a PHONE!!!!! oh well he learned!

maybe put it my a heat vent..... not on it but close to it?

When I washed ds's phone (he should have taken it out of his pocket before it went in the laundry!) they told me to take it apart, air dry it and hope for the best. He need a new phone. Sorry that happened.

fill a baggy full of uncooked rice and stuff it in there.

But fwiw, I washed my phone last year and though it flickered and acted like it was "on," it never worked again. I have heard of them truly being resurrected though, so good luck! :)

don't turn it on!! There are web sites dedicated to how to dry these things out and there are a couple of methods but you will hurt the electronics if you turn it on while still wet. It can take 2-3 weeks to completely dry it out but it can be done. We put our camera in a small plastic container and then put that in a larger container that was filled with silica gel. Sealed the larger box and left it for two weeks - once changing out the silica gel for fresh/dry stuff. It worked but since it had taken a bath in salt water the salt and sediments did their job on the lens and we couldn't use it again. But the electronics worked!

This is what we have done twice with success. Take it apart and gently dry it with a hair dryer. I move it back and forth often so that the phone doesn't get too hot. It is more likely to rust if you just let it air dry or so I have been told.:)

It may be okay without doing anything. Ds had the same phone go through the washer and dryer *3* times before it finally didn't work. Each time, I just set it on the counter for a day and then charged it up.
