DH has what the doctor thinks is a bulging disk in his lower back. They are treating him with high doses of pain meds, muscle relaxers, and anti inflammatories. He is still in as much pain as a week ago. He can barely walk, sit, or move around.
The doctor has a wait and see attitude. She has changed his meds around a bit, so she is trying to keep him comfortable, but its not working. We are now looking for other therapies. She said to not use chiropractic until the inflammation was under control because it was contraindicated in this diagnosis.
I thought I would research acupuncture today and figured this was the best place to start.
We have never used acupuncture before and don't know what to look for in a provider. Do you have any suggestions?
