Thanks to all the recent math talk, I am in a tizzy over math options. Does anyone have a suggestion based on these scenarios?
Currently, ds does Kumon Math D and Saxon54. I really like Saxon's spiral alongside Kumon's mastery. However, ds doesn't like Saxon. Ds is relatively compliant and there are no tears over math. He will do it if I tell him to do it, but he just doesn't enjoy it.
The little guy gets excited thinking about getting to do what his big brother is doing. So, instead of using Saxon next year, I was considering TT6 for him to use while big brother does TT PreCalc.
OTOH- I was planning to eventually move over to CD anyway, so why switch to TT to then switch to CD. Although if he uses CD Math Matters 5, it looks like a lot of it has already been covered this year in Saxon 54, but the same could be said of TT6.
As third option, I could move him over to RightStart E. Much of RightStart E would be review, but it is a totally different approach and ds might think it is fun. If we went that route, ds could use RS Level E and Intermediate followed by VT Alg Module A (which I already own) and then move on to CD.
There are so many viable options and I could argue the case for using each of them. Does anyone have any thoughts on these options for an accelerated little person? Help.
