I have the Pre-Calculus text (it's gigantic:tongue_smilie:) as well as a solutions manual, etc. I haven't seen it mentioned on here before, but it was recommended previously to me by Jenny on Singaporemath.com

But I haven't tried implementing the text because my son decided to do concurrent enrollment. I'm looking at another of my boys finishing up soon and being ready for pre-calc before he does concurrent enrollment.

What do ya'll think?

We liked it. My dd did Singapore math all the way through NEM 3...actually she did the first half of NEM 3, but at that point we both felt she needed some consolidation in the algebra dept. Blitzer was recommended by Jenny on the boards at Singaporemath.com, so I got a copy pretty cheap from Amazon. The whole first chap. was a review of Alg 2. We took a whole semester to do this, the started the next year with Precalc, and made it about halfway through the book (dd's jr. year). Things are explained very well, using both visual and verbal. I registered as a teacher on the Prenhall website, and was able to have access to the solutions manual. This is pretty crucial, IMO. You really need to pick and choose problems. There are TONS of problems in each section. Anyway, in our case, I felt like it was pretty slow going, BUT, this year dd took the cc entrance test and tested into college trig. She had left off in the book right before the trig chapters, so it was perfect. I think it is a good solid book. Huge, yes. Definitely get registered as a teacher on the website. I can't imagine getting through it in a year. I looked up lots of syllabi for cc courses, and they *all* pick and choose chapters. None of them do every chap. in the book. So there you are. Worked for us.
