Does anyone have this? Can you tell me what a typical lesson is like?
Thanks in advance!

I have it and will paraphrase from the intro.

Each week there is a section of required activities
1) the lesson focus- a bullet point of what all is required that week

2) the introduction- a little overview of the week's topic

3) the Bible study- typically a Bible verse that is in some way relevant to the week's lesson and some other suggestions to look up

4) the timeline- obvious

5) the biographies- people to place on the timeline; the student should be able to give a 5-10 sentence description of the person prior to placing him on the timeline

6) Map Study- in the lessons there are lists of places; in the intro there are suggestions of things to do with them

7) Vocabulary- that they suggest putting on 3x5 cards

8) Resources- they suggest resources, but emphasis that you are not bound to use those suggestions, but are free to use whatever sources are available to you

After the required activities there a many activities and the student should choose at least 7 including at least 1 writing activity.

Did you need to know anything specific?

Thanks Mandy! Is there a good bit of church history? What kind of assignments do they give for the great books, like Canterbury Tales?

Thanks again!

You can look at the Konos HOW 2 TOC (http://www.konos.com/highschool/year2toc.htm) and see which weeks will have some church history. WP QMA contains much more church history. It uses Mystery of History Vol2 as its spine and the WP QMA Sr high early church history bible study component includes-
Trial & Triumph
Christian History Made Easy
100... Events in Christian History
A Survey of the New Testament by Gundry

HOW2 is a project based study of the middle ages and not a literature based study. There are suggested books and suggested writing assignments to go with the books (The Canterbury Tales are included), but there is not the analysis that you will find in something like Hewitt's LL.
