View Full Version : What would be the, ahem, logical followup for Intermediate Logic?

My middle dd LOVED this book. Her class didn't even get to finish the book, but she completed it on her own and wants to do more. She did extremely (90% or higher) well on most of the tests so it seems to be sticking. We even had the video for that one and she never once watched it.

We'll do Memoria Traditional Logic later so those are out.

It's all the truth tables and P if, then Q (sorry can't make the little symbols!) and rules of inference and replacement and all that stuff she enjoys, lol. Indeed, it's the very thing Chris in VA told us to do, so I am happy she likes it. ;)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Good for her! Two questions: 1) why do you want to do Traditional Logic I and II and 2) why not now?

FWIW, I'm planning on having my dc work through TLI and II and then move on to Material Logic.

My dd is mostly done with Intermediate Logic, too, and has asked for more. I searched a bit for more advanced stuff, but all I found were a few college courses that got a bit too esoteric for us.

I tried Material Logic with her older brother. We found it incomprehensible, so I sold it and won't use it again.

Please let us know if you find anything else that will work.

I'm also eager for an answer on this question! My daughter is in the same boat!
