We have them all in storage so I don't want to buy more than one at a time. It is for ds and he likes things in a logical order (unlike dd who I can throw books at in any order :))
Many thanks in advance!

Swallowdale is the second book, followed by Peter Duck.

When we read through the series, we skip Peter Duck and Missee Lee and do them at the end (they are stories made up by the Swallows and Amazons about themselves.). We also do Coot Club and The Big Six (which have the Callum kids up on the Norfolk Broads) together at the end right before the metafictional pair.
The published order, with the Norfolk Broads stories in green and the metafictional ones in pink:
Swallows and Amazons
Swallowdale
Peter Duck
Winter Holiday
Coot Club
Pigeon Post
We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea
Secret Water
The Big Six
Missee Lee
The Picts And The Martyrs
Great Northern?
Coots in the North (incomplete - and very rough, the kids haven't read it at all)Eliana

Thanks for this list, Eliana! I read Swallows and Amazons aloud a few years ago -- and wanted to get a little sailboat and send my children off!! It was such a wonderful story! :)
