My sister gave my mom and me tickets to see Wicked in L.A. next month. My mom isn't thrilled to go, so I thought of sending DH with DD She will turn 12 in April. Is there anything that would make it inappropriate for an 11 yo?

I think so. Nothing jumps out in my memory. Have you heard the soundtrack? Maybe listen to it a couple of times before you go.

I took both of my children -- age 6 and 9 at the time to see Wicked. It is a wonderful play/musical...and perfectly family friendly. Wicked is one of my favorite books of all time - but the book would be completely inappropriate for children.

in London when she was 13 yo. She loved it, even downloaded the soundtrack to her Ipod and listens to it regularly. No problems here.

I have a friend who takes her daughters (ages 11 and 12) to see it often. They are Wicked crazy. They will actually jump on a plane to go somewhere to see it!Of course, they will jump on a plane to go shopping somewhere, too. They don't seem to find anything inappropriate about it at all.

take my 11yod in a heartbeat!!!! We love the music!!!!! There is one scene where she and her love interest sing a song about being together and at the end she says, "For the first time ever, I feel.....wicked." But, there is nothing else that I can remember that would even make me think twice.

We alll LOVE this soundtrack! I have a friend who is a Wicked "addict" and she takes her kids to see it whenever it's even remotely close to FL. I can't think of anything objectionable about it.

I took my 12 yo ds last year and he liked it. The place was packed with young girls who clearly loved it. It's obviously is about witches but I didn't see anything inappropriate.
