For those who have done SL Core 6 & 7

How did you handle the history writing assignments? I want to use SL Core 6 & 7 but I also want my dc to do the logic stage outlining and summaries as suggested in WTM. The problem is that Core 6 & 7 goes through all the SOTW books in only 2 years, so that would be way too much writing per week. What did you do?

We haven't used the writing assignments for SOTW. My older two write at least twice a week. Once is for Writing Tales and another time is usually with history. They will often outline some part of the Usborne book. My eldest (12) will outline and then I have her write a paragraph based on her outline. On some weeks, my eldest will also write for Lightning Lit.
