He has had his wrist in a strap-on brace for three days now - one I bought for myself when my wrist hurt for several WEEKS! Am taking him to doctor tomorrow to make sure it is nothing else - meanwhile what if it still hurts when the Jrs here in Illinois take the ACT next week? And he has a SAT II at the start of May....then TWO AP exams with lots of writing - I am freaking out that if his wrists hurts as long as mine did (kinda carpel tunnelish I think) how is he going to do those exams????!!!

Hugs and prayers going your way!
God can and does do wonderful things .. he CAN heal it (I've heard of such things even recently) and/or he CAN open up doors that you would not have considered otherwise.

Can your son type, maybe there is a way the schools will provide this capability given this handicap? In the meantime, I'd still have him practice his essay skills ... maybe orally with you, maybe by dictating them to you or a sibling?

I wouldn't fret too much about his hand hurting as long as yours ... he is younger and the young just heal sooo much faster then we do.

At least for the ACT, you may be able to cancel the essay. It really isn't that necessary.
