Does any one know if LibriVox has any recordings? My eight-year-old specifically requested this tonight.

Also, does anyone know if Padraic Colum's Children of Odin is in the public domain? I'll record it myself if so.

We just love Odds Bodkin's Giant at the Cauldron -- we have it on good old fashioned cassette tape and keep our old player just for that tape. You can get it as an audio download here:

I found one short story, by Hamilton Wright Mabie, "The Death of Balder" at librivox

Popular Tales from the Norse by George Dasent will be done soonish, you can have them email you when it is complete. you can go ahead and listen to the completed sections on this page.

Not free, but audible has the Norse myths, and we love love love the narrator! (Benjamin Soames; $12 nonmembers, $9 or 1 credit for members)
