Why do I get logged off so frequently?

I log on, and if I leave the boards for a little while, then I'm not logged on when I return. Is this normal?

Apparently so. If I take too long to respond to a post, when I hit submit, I'm told that I'm logged off.....

When you log in there is a little "remember me" box beside the place where you put your name. Check that box and you will stay logged in.
