For the fall, I had planned to do WP Quest for Ancient World with 4th and 7th grader and have 9th grader do MFW Ancient Hist. and Lit. with Notgrass. After talking with the nice lady at WP, I wonder if I should keep us all together and do WP. My heart would like to do this as I enjoy being together for part of the day. It would also be a lot less expensive. But, I had heard that maybe it wasn't "enough" for high school. With all our other subjects and activities, just what IS enough? Is WP babyish? Please help! Thx

This year middle ds is using WP S&S. I posted about this in the why do you love WP thread (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93029). I posted below that yesterday we decided that middle ds will be using WP QMA (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93191).

Did I beef up S&S? Yes, however, I did far less tweaking than I have done in the past.

Will I add to QMA? Yes.

Do I think WP is babyish? Heck, no.:D

If you are on the fence, why don't you use a thorough ancient lit/la program alongside QMA instead of WP LA? If your 9th grader is a strong reader, you could use Smarr Ancients (http://www.smarrpublishers.com/C2405.html).

Remember every course a student takes doesn't have to push to the edge of their academic abilities.
