Has anyone used the entire FLL text for grade 1 alone? DD is doing really well with it and is flying through each lesson so I am considering finishing off the book in grade 1. We're only on lesson 70 but she finds the lessons very easy and seems to be quite bored with it. However, it does appear to get pretty intense towards the end of the book.

Any thoughts on this?

I don't plan on using it next year as I'm likely going to use Shurley Grammar level 2 gr. 2.

If she finishes it this year, great. If not, you haven't lost anything by moving ahead. If she is bored with it and you know you are using something else next year, you could skip review lessons and just condense it to the material you want to focus on.

FLL is very age appropriate. Don't rush it, don't skip portions, relax, and enjoy it :) Each activity really does have a purpose.

I would continue at her pace, if you finish the entire book this year so be it! She be ahead next year. I would be cautious to slow down if it becomes difficult for her and remember to review if needed. FLL is great program!

Just take it at her pace... just so you know, FLL 3 is great. I like it more than FLL 1/2.
