I'm not really sure how to phrase this question, but I'll try to be concise;)

When using R&S Grammar most people seem to feel that if a student goes through level 7 or 8 they have completed all the grammar instruction needed. If one was to use ABeka grammar, what would be the comparable level where one could say it was all the grammar instruction needed?

I realize that R&S has added high school level texts, but I have seen them and they really don't seem "necessary" - they are more writing based than grammar instruction. And ABeka, from my past experience, goes on and on and on with grammar. So where does ABeka end new instruction and move into reinforcement?

I have no clue! I'm curious as to what others have to say though.

not an answer to your question. but my 15 year old has just switched from completing R&S 7 to ABeka10. he is finding ABeka more enjoyable, and certainly not harder.

I have been told that ABeka stops introducing new topics with the 10th grade book.

as we have done Abeka grammar for the past 8 years. My ds is going into the 9th grade and I'd like NOT to keep doing grammar....especially Abeka grammar.

Our dc went through all the ABeka Grammar/Comp texts several years ago. Then, the 11th and 12th grade texts were mostly 'review'. They called them Workbooks A and B (or something like that). They also contained a good many composition exercises, I believe.
