I'll start:

You can hover your mouse over a subject line and get the first bits of the full text of the response. That is a time-saver.

You can create a Buddy List: that way you can be sure to see the posts of the people you most like to read. (And you can also hide those you don't.)

You can edit posts, and you can use bolds and underlines instead of those ridiculous (but *useful*) asterisks.

If you accidently hit post reply twice, it will tell you that you just posted the same thing (within a few minutes, I'm guessing), so you don't post it twice!

I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it will be easier to search these boards and I think that will be cool. I could never figure out how to search the old boards for posts I forgot to save.

I hate change too, but I think I can get used to this:)

Also - if you click on the little blue square with the white arrow beside a thread title it will take you to the newest post since your last log-in.

Another didja know - look at the bottom right corner of any post (where the edit and quote buttons are). Click on the one furthest to the right to post a "quick reply". Instead of opening up a new page, it will just open a box at the bottom of the screen, making it much easier to post!

If you click on someone's name within a post, a drop-down menu appears allowing you to pm them, view all their posts, and a few other things.

I'm loving this! But it's a bit addictive!

Is anyone able to get images to appear? I've tried the icon but haven't actually been able to insert an image yet.

I like scrolling through the Member List to see all the avatar and profile photos in one place.

You can rate a thread...it shows up as 1 to 5 gold stars. Fun!

I like the avatars. There are a lot of people with similar screen names and personalities that I might be able to keep separate now.

I like that I can click on somebody's name and see all their posts--no more searching back to find what's happening with so-and-so's daughter and hoogie-whatsie's pet cat.

I like the smilies. :D

Yes! The avatars! I am a VERY visual person and could never keep everyone straight. Truly, the only ones I've really kept straight prior to now are the ones with blogs or some sort of picture shared somewhere. This is really going to help me!
