View Full Version : Will winter ever end??? We had no snow and spring like...
weather over the weekend. The whole fam even went for a bike ride. I started to realize how depressed I am and how good it felt to be outside! This morning, however, we now have 6 inches of blowing snow!!!!!!!! Wah!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( Will spring and my good humor ever return???????????????

We got snow too. Lots of it. It's very pretty, but I would like it to leave now. Especially since it seems all those on the road have never learned how to drive in snow. I would call them idiots, but somehow that does not seem to fit. It really makes a person reevaluate their life, as a huge suv almost plows into the side of my car, where my little one was sitting.

We're right in the middle of it right now too! I went to the store this past weekend with only a wool sweater on (no jacket!!!). The snow had melted. It was lovely! Today? SIX more inches of blowing snow. It's pretty, but I need the sun!!!!

Felt the exact same way on a warm day 2wks ago! Snowed the next day. I am encouraged though, because there are many more warm and sunny days than last month. It is coming, hang in there! I also tell myself not to expect it until late April, that way I am never disappointed.:(

we had winter for a couple of weeks back in December, but I think we've moved on to spring, possibly summer. I have to cut my roses way back, all of their little leaves, so just for a nanosecond they'll think, "Hey, we're supposed to be dormant." I expect to have blooms by April.:D
Now, Ellie, that's just mean!!! :) Don't rub it in or anything!!!!!!! All the rest of us, gazing out onto winter snow. It is pretty, but AHHH!!! I just want it all to go away!

Well....I figure it's easier to send kids out to play in the snow, than in mud! But I know what you mean. It was so nice this weekend, it pretty much spoiled winter!
At this point of winter, you know the bulk of it is over, but the last few snowstorms can really drag it out, can't they?

I like winter, in general; but it's worn out its welcome. I live on a corner with a narrow alley between my house and the one next door and people have driven their stupid trucks over the corner of my yard and it's a muddy disaster! I want this stuff to end and now! No more mud! No more snow! No more wet ground!
I'm seriously considering buying a huge rock and putting it on that corner. If someone drives into my rock, well, they shouldn't be on my yard driving to start with!

Well, as we still have over 3 feet of snow left, summer is a long ways away. And we got another couple of inches last night. On the bright side, the skiing has been great! Crested Butte has had over 26 FEET this year!
