I posted the William & Mary language arts units that we just finished up and I'll be putting up the Moving Beyond the Page units when we are done with those in a few weeks.

I'm posting this here because I'm guessing that some of you are like me and rarely check the for sale board. If anyone wants to search the archives, we had a long thread going about this material a year or so ago.

Hi, My son is a little older, so those units wouldn't work for him, but if you don't mind, I was curious about how you liked the William and Mary products. I know our PS uses those for GT programs and they sound wonderful. Did you have to adapt them a good bit for a non-group setting (or maybe they are being adapted for use by groups!)? Thank you!

I like these units a great deal. They don't just provide "more of the same" which is often the case when people teach gifted children. The material actively presents situations in which the child's thinking---logical skills (not necessarily workbooky logic)--is stimulated. Only about 5-10% needed to be changed. Some assignments that were done in a group could just as easily be done with one child. I did a few of the activities that called for a group. I like the units better than any other gifted material that I have used.
