making surcoats

I made surcoats for history today. We're doing the Crusades and it mentioned having surcoats. SO, I wasn't in the mood to do a full child-sized surcoat, so we made surcoats out of dinner napkins for her stuffies. Dd drew a design on each one, cut a whole in the top and tada! A brand new surcoat for a stuffie battle.

Of course, with two girls the battle was short-lived and the stuffies all decided to be friends. If only life was like that:)
