DD always makes some sort of great leap forward when she reaches her half year mark in January (Why don't I EVER remember that this is coming???).

It's nasty enough out that I want to be inside. I am never eating my heart out at having to teach grammar this time of the year. But intermittently there are nice, sunny days. The daffodils have bloomed, and they look great. The irises are coming up again this year (I was afraid that they might be too crowded.)

And it is Lent. I love Lent. Lent is the anniversary of when I found the church I truly feel at home in, the one I transferred to when I was pregnant with DD so that I could raise her there. I transferred right before Ash Wednesday, so I went there as a member for the first time on Ash Wednesday and marched upstairs after church and joined the choir. The choir leader is not used to this. Normally she must twist people's arms, I have heard. Anyway, she made me welcome, and after DD was born I just brought her with me to choir practice.

And it is almost Easter. Easter is coming!!!

This is the best time of the year.

What an uplifting post this time of year! Most people are stuck in "blah" mode after all these months of winter, myself included. Thanks for the beautiful reminder that it really is a great time of year... I agree! And YES! Easter is coming!!

Thank you! I needed that boost as I sit here coughing at 2 a.m. A positive spin is something I can really use!
