FLL and WWE for a 4th grade ds

My son will be a 4th grader next fall, and like most boys he isn't crazy about grammar, reading, or writing. I've used K12's grammar this yr. and found it really lacking. I ordered the Abeka 3rd grade workbook after Christmas and we've slowly worked through it. If I were to start with FLL or WWE (or do I need both?) where would I start? What level? In the WWE book what is the difference between the textbook and the workbook? HHEEELLLLPPP!!!

You can start FLL on level, so FLL 4. I peeked through this one in the bookstore and really liked the looks of it.

If he hasn't had much writing, pick up the textbook for WWE. WWE has about 6 weeks of writing in each level. The book will help you place him, and you can zoom through the earlier levels till he hits the place that's right for him. Using the book is really easy.
