Dd is using Lightning Lit this year. She's in 9th grade but is using the 8th grade level since this was her first year studying lit. We're starting to think about what to use for next year (10th grade).

1) Do all lit programs have as much writing as Lightning Lit? She is already using a writing program and is finding it a bit much.

2) We like how LL has courses on American Lit, British Lit, Shakespeare, etc. I also like the vocabulary, comprehension questions and the literary lessons. If she continues LL with their high school levels, would she still benefit from the course if she skips some or all of the writing exercises?

3) Is there a lit program that has similar literary lessons, but less writing?

Thanks!

effectively without the writing assignments. You could pick ones that you like and take a break from the other writing curr. if you want as well. I've found it to be flexible enough for that when we've needed to do it.
