"Praise the Lord, O, just PRAISE THE LORD"---this was said by my special needs 12dd today while we were out by the barn. We asked her what she was praising the Lord for. She said, ......................"I can SCOOP THIS POOP". She was SO happy that it was warm enough to wheel the wheel barrel out to the pasture again and scoop some of the frozen poop. Granted there is still several feet of snow in the pastures where the horses haven't packed it down but she still found enough to fill a wheelbarrow.

Sounds like she has big plans for the poop...getting a garden ready maybe?

Scooping POOP is her job. She gets $1/week for scooping poop at least 3 days a week. No, this is not slave labor. She loves it and my friend where we board my horse pays her just to give her a "job".

This dd will spend HOURS outside cleaning the pastures---a 2 acre pasture with 6 horses equals a LOT of poop in the summer. She has just not liked it that this winter she has not been able to keep the pastures all clean. Too hard to move a wheelbarrow through 3+ feet of snow to pick up frozen piles.

She is a very hard worker and just might be able to get a job as a stable hand someday.
