I was sad to see that Ria folded up shop, though I certainly understand her reasons.
I have the blue set (oceans, weather, astronomy) and we have liked what we've done so far.
I'd like to find another science program laid out like this. I'm looking for something geared to 1st thru 6th grade as a loose range.
I like the reading lists, hands on and the fact that it uses just a few "required" bks.
Thanks

Do you know that you can still order her sets from Rainbow Resource? I ordered two when I heard that she folded up too. We have done the Woods, Human Body and Rainforests and the kids have just loved it. They asked me to order more so they can work on them.
Otherwise, I am not really certain of another program like hers.

I would buy MWS while you can at Rainbow Resources or used. I purchased all materials when we started so we could mix and match units.

I knew you could buy them at RR until they are gone. But since she said some of the links were outdated and some of the books were out of print I thought I'd look for something more current.
But if I don't find anything I will certainly try to get them at RR. ;)

What? No more My World? But, but, but.... what am I going to do? We've loved it this year. Can someone clue me in as to why Ria isn't continuing to sell them?

It also uses living books, comes with all supplies for hands on, and is all laid out for you.

I haven't used the links so that isn't a concern of mine. Maria has so many other good enrichment suggestions included, videos, book recommendations for both early elementary and upper, games, projects, etc.. We really have enjoyed her program. Some of the books are out of print, but you can still find them used on Amazon and elsewhere. It's not that the science info isn't current, it's that some of the books she used as required resources have gone out of print, which means rewriting portions of her program which she just doesn't have time for at the moment and some of the links have change, which happens. She orginally wrote MWS for her own kids after searching for a science program that fit her needs and used the same program to teach a co-op, after so many raved about it, she decided to market it and share it with others. It's been a blessing at our house.
