I'm no longer a wannabe!
At least for the next two weeks or so.
I haven't managed to get back on the computer since my company arrived ten days ago! It's been sorta maddening. But, I'm determined to do right by my beloved family member who entrusted her two homeschooled sons to me while she sorts out the estate of my late grandparents.
(I know, I know, you were all dying to know where in the world I was instead of being on these boards. I know you missed me. I, who know much.)
I've been very busy keeping two elementary-aged boys busy for the past week. We did a week of homeschooling in there and I'm very proud of the fact that we not only did everything assigned in the curriculum, but were able to throw in a few extras. My conscious has the all-clear when reporting back to said family member about her children.
I've discovered several things while actually homeschooling this week:
1. I don't understand how any of you have time to get on these boards whilst homeschooling your kiddos. Homeschooling takes so much time! And I'm too tired at the end of the day to stay up and surf the Net. How do y'all do it?
2. Homeschooling is fun. Really fun.
3. I love having structured, purposeful things to do with these children. I feel like I'm getting so much more out of life.
I'll be posting on my blog (also neglected these last ten days) about our week homeschooling and you can see pictures then. But, I wouldn't expect the post to be up until tonight.
