What education is needed to be a radiology nurse? What does the job entail, salary, description? I am trying to find a nurse specialty and someone meantioned it but I'm not positive what exactly the job calls for especially education wise.

Our local CC offers the courses necessary to take the certification/licensing exam. Getting an AA degree is optional and in most cases will NOT advance the job placement. Most start out as x-ray techs--taking x-rays at hospitals and such and then choose an area to specialize in (mammography, CT, MRI...) each additional certification level takes about 2 semesters of night school.
Starting salary here in Texas is close to $35,000 per year. With additional certification we have a friend making nearly $70,000 per year (MRI).
College Algebra is the highest math (part of a Pre-Calc class)
Science is Biology and Anatomy
The CC program runs for 2 full years (4 semesters and 2 summers)
