I am going to be starting my kids with Level 1 of AAS soon and I was wondering how often you do it? Daily or a few times a week? I just feel like I won't be able to do it every single day due to other things we have to do. Thanks for any thoughts. My kids are 6 1/2 and 5. It will be more for the older one, but younger will probably listen in and participate.

My dd is only 4yo so we don't do it regularly yet. Sometimes we do little bits every day and sometimes we do it in larger chunks. I think you could do it either way. You could probably do it in 10 minutes or less a day if you did it every day.

I've been working on Level 1 for my dd and level 2 for my ds. We do spelling daily for about 10-15 minutes. We just work on a step until the time is up and then pick up where we left off the next day. There are times where we would be busy on some days with outside appointments or things and so we'd just skip working those days and only hit the subject 2-3 times that week and all was fine. It's really a program where you can choose how often to do it and for how long without a problem. I would say just pick a schedule that works for you and then be consistant with that schedule.

We do it 3x a week. That has been enough for us.

4-5x per week, 10-15 min each.

We're almost done with Level two and spend about 15 minutes 4 days a week. DS has accomplished amazing things with just that small amount of time.

We do a little spelling every day (5x/week). I break the lessons way down though, since Becca's still young. I dictate all six phrases on one day, but break the sentences down to three and three (you won't really have sentences until level 2 though).
