Lial's Pre-calc/calc- are these "self teaching"?

How self-teaching are these texts? I'm thinking about doing a review of the intermediate algebra book and then going into the pre-calc book. I took pre-calc in high school but I just don't remember that much. I do use algebra constantly in my work though so I'm comfortable with it.
Also- does it teach the graphing calculator? Thanks.
