Which program would you choose and why? My son has done Saxon for math and apologia for science and he will be doing Calculus at the community college along with whichever physics we choose. Thanks.
Edited: Is physics considered math or science? I was thinking science but I am not sure?

:bigear: I would love to know as well.
here in Australian high schools, physics is taken as a science.

I don't know about the Saxon, but the Apologia did a great job of getting my dd ready for her college class in physics. If he's used to the Apologia style for science, I would suggest you stay with it. It covers standard high school science material.
And, yes, physics is in the science department. Although it uses a lot of math!

I have been really happy with Apologia. We've used all the high school material with the exception of the adv. physics and adv bio. I would stay with the curriculum that you are comfortable with.
And yes, physics is considered a science. I would encourage you to be sure he does the labs. You'll want to have at least two lab sciences on his transcript.

Thank you all. Do you think both the physics and adv. physics could be done in one school year? He has done the chemistry with no trouble.

We didn't try it, but I do know there are many people on the board who have done this. I think it depends on how crazy the schedule is across the whole school year. There are too many other things going on here to squeeze two levels into one year.
