Q: HIstory of the US worksheets

I am planning on using Sonlight Core 100 with ds next year
I am wondering if I should purchase these since I am going to spread the curriculum over 2yrs. or will they just be busy work?

We have used History of Us this year. We didn't do the worksheets, just read and discussed. We have really enjoyed doing it this way. With all the other work my dc have to do, I felt like the worksheets would have been overkill.

My dd did all the worksheets, but she was earning a high school credit. She also did the quizzes from Oxford & a few other things.

If I were reading the books to my 7th grader this year, I would probably just have him make his own notebook pages on significant characters & events. I think he needs to do *something* with the material, but not all that pencil work.
