Thought I'd let you all know that our little soldier girl is back in Iraq...

Some of you oldtimers may remember our soldier-girl Emily.

Emily is on her third deployment now and second time in Iraq. This time, though, she is not in a combat capacity (although any presence in Iraq must be considered such, technically).

She is serving as a career counselor in retention and will be assisting soldiers who are reenlisting. Her duties require travel throughout the country which poses some danger in itself. Orders are for 15 months as usual but may well be amended to 12 months.

We heard from her for the first time this weekend, and she's been there a week. Updates will be posted as I have time at Seasonal Soundings.

Prayers for her safety are appreciated.
