Can anyone tell me what the difference are in this book?
I am looking for one that goes with Sonlight 2001 World History and I am finding all kinds of prices.

As far as I know, the main difference between editions is that it has been updated to remove offensive references to some cultures like Africans and Native Americans. We are using the current Calvert edition and I haven't seen the older editions, but this is my understanding.
I'm not sure which version Sonlight was using in 2001 though. The most recent Calvert print is 1997, and is sold by Rainbow Resource, Sonlight, Veritas Press, and of Calvert School. Prior to that, there were various versions, but they do indeed have racial terms that I would call ugly by today's standards and the text stops a little while after WW II. Sonlight used it with notes in the guide about the problems, but at some point they switched to the 1997 version.

:iagree: You should get the 1997 edition. I have read through one of the older editions, and it has numerous racial and "color" references that I did not want my children absorbing. I got mine from Sonlight, but Rainbow Resource has this edition as well (and for a better price). It is a wonderful intro to the flow of history, and I was glad to find an edition w/o the racial dividing, labeling and comparing. After all, aren't we all part of the human race?:)

I actually have a 1951 one that was given to me by an elderly neighbor, and the only reason I kept it was to show my children the "way things were." I couldn't sell it in good conscience with that sort of language and inferences.
