I'm looking for a program for my 6th grade daughter next year, and I'd like to move her towards independence, and I've looked into Trisms a bit. We have liked Sonlight in the past, but I took a break this year and tried Biblioplan. Somehow it didn't work for us, and I thought I'd go back to Sonlight next year, but then Trisms caught my eye. I seem to do better with a structured plan, especially when it comes to history. What sort of family does well with Trisms, and what sort of family fails with it?

Thanks!

I was not happy with the use of excerpts instead of whole texts for the literature options. I can't remember what grade level that was though.

Best wishes

Go over the the high school board and do a search for Trisms, lot of good information, also look around on the Trisims yahoo group. We are currently using Sonlight and will continue through Core 5, then move on to Trisms.
