We decided that we are going to either use WWE or CW Aesop B.

I know WWE does not teach research papers. How about CW Aesop B?

If not, can you recommend a book that can help her learn how to write a research paper?

Oh, she is 10 yo and is in grade 5"ish".(She loves a challenge)

Thanks!!

Have you looked at Evan Moor's How to Write a Report books? Might fit the bill.

You might also look at the Flash Kids Fearless Writing series; I think Barnes & Noble might be the only place to get it.

We recently bought the research paper guide and workbook, and it seems to give very straightforward directions. It has too much of a 'chatty' tone for my taste, but not nearly as bad as most books written directly to the student.

It also has checklists and common mistakes to watch out for.

$7.95 each book (and I would get both guide and workbook).

I don't think Aesop teaches research papers, but you can probably check their website to be sure.

Aesop does not teach research papers. Neither does Homer (A at least).

CLE has two language arts LightUnits that specifically teach how to do research papers. The first one is in level 500, but I forget which LightUnit # it is. I can check the Scope & Sequence that I have and come back to post it later, unless someone beats me to it.

Here's the website just FYI, but I can't find a S&S on there anywhere.
