Teaching Children to Sing

My 5-year-old loves music and listens to it a lot. He can sing songs all by himself, but cannot sing in tune with someone else. I would like to do some singing as part of our homeschooling to help develop this skill, but I am at a loss as to where to start. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!

One simple activity is to sing a note and have him practice matching that note. Teach him to slide up or down until he hears his note match your note. They choose another one.
