Jeans for TALL husbands

Anyone here married to uber-tall men? My lovely DH is 6'8" -- purchasing jeans for this man feels torturous on the best of days.

Where do your extra-tall DH buy jeans - dress pants are easy because they are sold unhemmed. Jeans -- ugh -- almost impossible.

Have you tried: www.josbank.com ? They sell tall men's clothing. Check to see if they sell jeans.

but he wears a 38 X 36 pant size. We have done a lot of shopping at Eddie Bauer, though I have seen a marked decline in their quality lately. We've also shopped from the catalogue of Casual XL and Land's End and maybe even LLBean? I don't know...I always confuse those last 2.:confused:

It's hard keeping these tall guys clothed without aging them a good 20 years! Most of the tall clothes can be so...I don't know...what's the male word for frumpy???

My DH wears a 32" waist and 36" inseam. I get all of his pants, jeans included, from either Lands' End or LLBean. Both do have inseams available to 36". Actually, DH could probably use a 36.5" inseam, but that is as high as they go.

I don't even bother trying to find DH clothes in regular stores, and those "big and tall" stores are so expensive! Go straight to Lands' End, and you will find your DH's jeans, and they will cost less too.

My dh is 6'5". He wears 38 waist and 40 inseam. Fortunately, I don't buy his jeans! I live out in the sticks, and my mil still lives in southern California. She orders jeans for my dh from a western wear store (apparently they have no trouble getting 38x40 Levis) and gives them to him at Christmas and on his birthday.

Another vote for Shepler's! My dh is 34*38--he's only 6' 2", but all legs. My poor oldest dd wears a size 4, but with a 36" inseam.

My DH is 6'5" and we've bought his jeans for years through the JCPenney's catalog. I just recently discovered, however, that our local fleet and farm store carries jeans in his size at the NORMAL price. DH always thought it was so unfair he needed only an extra inch or two of fabric at the bottom, but had to pay more than the big-waisted jeans. :p

I just bought him three pair of nice quality jeans for $25 apiece at the fleet and farm store. How lucky is that!

I'm going to check out each of the links you've provided.

DH is concerned about ordering online because: "I can't try on the jeans."

The straight-leg pants look, well -- straight. The fit/style is tricky to guage online, don't you think?

We can ususually find Levis or Lees at Kohls in this size. We can't find this waist size in big and tall stores.

Lands End is sold at Sears, so if they don't fit, you can return them to the store--no shipping. Of course, you may have to order several pairs to know which ones he likes....But when you find it, order 5 pair!!!!! (If the shoe fits, buy it in every color type of thing:D)

I don't know the return shipping policy of LL Bean. We have B&M Jos Banks and Bauer store, so those you could probably return there.
